... having and taking the time to produce exceptional horseman and horses in a happy, and intimately one on
one environment. By keeping the work schedule manageable and number of clients low, so that a great deal of
focus and care can be dedicated to each situation. Working to develop a well rounded yet highly successful individual (whether it
be horse or horseman) that can only come from a lead trainer that has created the space to contemplate their needs, in regards to
their particular pursuit of excellence. A lead horseman that has a full, from the grounds up, working knowledge
of the steps necessary to naturally achieve specific training and competition objectives with the horses themselves,
and within the equine industry at the highest levels. By focusing
on reasonable short and long term goals, realizing that profitable excellence within this world and sport are often attained in
increments of 5 to 10 years, depending upon the resources available.

One of Ms. Hunter's favorite aspects of the horse industry is working with the young horse.
She has started and continued the jumping careers of hundreds of sport horses and several
imported international quality stallions from around the country, watching some of these
horses go on to serious competition with top Grand Prix riders, and taking several to this
distinguished level herself. She has received horses in
training from as far away as California and New Hampshire and has a proven record of always
producing positive, competitive, marketable results.
She can only take on a very limited number of outside horses in for full training, as every horse
she works with is seriously trained with great integrity, is if it was her own.
Goals are set for the horse by the
owner and Ms. Hunter, and regular updates on the horses progress are provided. Horses in for
full training receive a minimum of 5 hours of work per week, and can be competed and/or marketed by
Ms. Hunter (we prefer horses that can travel with our show schedule).
Because most horses in training only remain at the farm for 3 months to a year, a waiting list
is available and recommmended for clients seeking top professional and ethical training at competitive rates.
Only a limited number of outside horses
can currently be handled. Lessons and/or training is required of boarders
and a minumum of 1 private lesson (or equivalent group lessons or training)
is required in addition to monthly full board. Though showing is not necessary, we
seek only serious horseman with definitive goals.
Full Board includes:
Unlimited top quality feed 2x per day
Feeding of Supplements (must be supplied by owner or owner will be billed separately)
Large pastures (we prefer socializing though horses may be separated depending on circumstances)
Clean, accessible shelter available at all times
1 clean, bedded stall per horses (horses will be stalled regularly in poor weather and/or because of injury, though because we believe in minimizing confinement they may stay out in pasture with shelter in good conditions)
Access to all faclilities including indoor ring, outdoor rings, trails, heated wash stall, lounge and 1 large tack storage locker per horse
Because Ms. Hunter shows and trains a group of privately owned horses and often has outside horses in for training, the number of students she can and will take on is limited. Though her focus is intermediate and advanced level students seeking to excel in the jumper arena, she will teach beginners and dressage students, depending on the circumstances, and more importantly, depending on the students willingness, desire and effort to learn.
**Students trailering in and taking lessons do not pay a facility fee.**
Ms. Hunter enjoys giving clinics to outside students, and will travel to a facility if she has the time and it is cost efficient. Feel free to call if you are interested in setting up a clinic.
